As you are shopping around for the best deal on pins and patches, have you encountered companies that send an e-mail asking that you supply your credit card information in the e-mail and send it back to them? Did you know there are dangers in supplying your information in this unsecured manner? There is the possibility of the e-mail being intercepted by hackers. Have you heard of keyloggers? They can record keystrokes from unsecured sites. These attackers pay attention only to numbers. Also, how do you ensure that the e-mail actually went to the person you meant to have the information?

You can avoid all of these dangers by dealing with internet companies that use secured networks to collect your credit card information.

All of our sites use Paypal, a very secure network that collects credit card information. Our company never has access to your information, it is not stored in any of our databases, so the possibility of hackers getting your credit card information is greatly reduced. Be sure to only deal with companies that have taken extra steps to protect your information.

You’ve heard about sun exposure and skin cancer, but have you applied your knowledge to protecting your youngster or your team? When teams are playing in baseball tournaments, series or play-offs many games are scheduled right in the middle of the day.

I live in Florida and have coached for many years and have added protecting my team players from the sun as just another duty a coach should perform. If your team should travel or go to Cooperstown, you’ll be responsible for being sure no one gets burned.

Be sure sunscreen is listed in the list of items team members are to bring with them on road trips.

Have an extra bottle of sports 50 sunscreen available if a player runs out.

Instruct players to bring to your attention any redness or burning look they see on other team members.

All races and all skin tones need sun protection.

Parents should:

Instruct kids about the need and use of sunscreen.

Train kids to include applying sunscreen as part of their daily routine. Try putting the sunscreen next to the toothpaste.

Provide adequate cover ups, such as wider brimmed hats when not playing ball, long sleeved lightweight t-shirts. (Caution: these shirts will only provide a small amount of protection.)

Consider letting your kid get a haircut that allows the top of the ear to be covered.

Even on cloudy days, sun protection is necessary. One of my worst burns happened in Florida on a very cloudy day.

Good luck and a have a great season.

The first thing to incorporate into your pin is your team colors. Then the name of your team. If you have a team mascott let’s make it fierce. For instance, you are the barracudas. Our designer takes your mascott and gives it a fierce look. Some other elements are added to give the pin interest.

Decide if you want your team names or numbers on the pin and if you want the date or tournament name added.

If you really want to increase trading value, add extra options like blinkies, sliders, etc. For example, your baracuda could slide across the front of your pin wiping out anything in its path.

When I was a child, baseball trading cards were all the rage. As kids we collected things. We collected coins, stamps, marbles. We traded with each other and bonded. Some collections are prized possessions throughout our adult lives because they remind us of our childhood.

One of the new collections are baseball trading pins. When teams go to tournaments, they go to win, of course. But at the same time, they are building their collection of pins. They want every pin; they want to have a great pin that everybody else wants. They interact and negotiate. They are leaning life skills without instruction.

Baseball is an important sport for the youth of America. It teaches competition, winning, losing, and how to become a good sport. Skills which are necessary throughout life.

The team plays their best and gives their all on the field. However, whether that team wins or loses, trading pins with the other players becomes one of the highlights of the game, making it a fun experience for all!

We can design a pin that every other player will want. Contact us today!

Trading pins foster social interaction with players from different backgrounds and cultures. Pins reflect your team pride. Pin collections are treasured memories for years to come.

But how many pins should you order for your team?

Here are some general guidelines:

Make a list of the tournaments and the size of the events that your team is expected to participate in. We recommend 35 to 50 pins per player for a good average. Keep in mind that you might want extra pins for parents, grandparents, siblings and friends.

If you are going to Cooperstown Dream Park plan for around 104 pins per player. This is a huge event with 104 or more teams hosted each week.

Remember, you can increase the value of your trading pin by adding danglers, spinners, sliders and glitter.

Why should you contact Baseball Pin Site? Don’t pay high prices for the same, tired pins that circulate every year. Our designers can create a fresh, new pin for you. For example, the pin on this page was designed for a team that tragically lost a player during the season. The angel wings were a way to remember a valued team mate.

We look forward to hearing from you. GOOD LUCK in your tournaments!!!!
